EVERYONE LOSES SOMETIMES…

Something we learn very early on in life is that not everyone can win all the time. No matter what you are playing or doing, there are going to come times when you fail, it’s just a part of life. This is a concept that can be really hard to grasp, especially for children. It is already nearly impossible for a child to control the emotions they feel, so it makes sense as to why oftentimes losing is accompanied by temper tantrums. Our May Kids Night In Box was themed “Winners Never Quit” and encouraged little one(s) to have good sportsmanship, even when they lose. We want to provide you with a DIY on-the-go reminder of things your little one(s) can say or do when they lose to show good sportsmanship.

MATERIALS:

  • Binder ring
  • Hole puncher
  • Scissors
  • Flip book printable

STEPS:

  1. First, download, print and cutout the free printable along the dotted lines.
  2. Punch a hole in the top left corner of each piece of paper
  3. Discuss with your little one(s) each losing reaction as you place them onto the binder ring. *OPTIONAL: Laminate the paper or print on card-stock to make it more durable!*
