During the month of September, Kids Night In is focusing on encouraging healthy eating and placing an emphasis on nutritious habits. One great way to make your body happy is to snack on fruits and veggies for extra energy throughout the day. What better way to motivate kiddos to eat fruits and veggies than letting them play with them?! I’m pretty sure there isn’t a kid out there who would pass up the chance to play with their food. This activity includes healthy foods and fun!

MATERIALS:

  • Paper plates 
  • Fruits & veggies cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Toothpicks 

Allow your little one to let their imagination shine while using the above materials to create different structures. Give them a few ideas or let their creativity go wild. Encourage them to snack while building; they’ll be so focused on their structure they won’t even notice they’re eating broccoli!
