One thing I’ve learned while working with children is that they are more willing to do something if they feel it is their choice. Humans, in general, do not like being told what to do. We want to feel like we are doing something because we WANT to, not because we HAVE to. This month at Kids Night In Box we have been talking all about nutrition and what it means to eat healthy. Today we are going to provide you with a printable grocery list just for your kiddo(s)! We encourage you to sit down with your little one(s) and build a nutritious grocery list together. If they are able, allow them to write it out or trace over your handwriting. Remind them of all the different food groups and try to come up with some healthy, balanced meals together and then decide what ingredients you need to make those meals. Once the list is ready, go grocery shopping together! Allowing little ones to feel like they are involved in the process will make eating healthy something they want to do and maybe even look forward to! Download the grocery list below:
