For the month of October, the Kids Night In Box blog will focus on the different elements within communities and what/who makes them run so smoothly! The October Kids Night In Box talked about community helpers and the different responsibilities they have within a community. If you’ve read our blog before, you know that we’re big fans of pretend play and how it stretches the minds of little ones. Today we want to provide you with community helper printable hat templates so that your little one(s) can explore different jobs that may interest them through pretend play.

STEPS:

1. Let your little one decide which community helper they want to be and then print the hat template. Or, print them all!
2. Color the hat(s)!
3. Help your little one cut out the hat template along the dotted lines or provide supervision as they do it.
4. Use tape to turn the template into a hat.
5. Place the hat on your little one’s head and let the pretend playing begin!
